San Antonio’s Premier Producers-Only Sunday Farmers Market
The Yard Farmers & Ranchers Market, formerly known as the Quarry Farmers & Ranchers Market, is located in the back of The Yard Shopping Center at 5300 McCullough Avenue (see map below). A well-curated group of the finest farmers, ranchers and small-batch food producers South Texas has to offer, this is the preferred market for the city’s true food lovers.
Held every Sunday (except Easter), rain or shine, from 9 am to 1 pm. Come hungry, eat local.
These hand-picked farmers grow a wide variety of gorgeous produce that changes with the seasons. Naturally grown without chemicals and pesticides, the Fresh Picks page is updated each week so you’ll know exactly what to look for and you can build your meals around what’s available.
The market is comprised of small, mom and pop farmers who grow naturally without the use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides and ranchers who raise animals humanely without hormones or antibiotics. The artisan producers create hand-crafted foods in small batches with care, flavor and authenticity.
Are you a college student looking to expand your horizons and gain real world experience? The market offers internships for students studying marketing, public relations, hospitality, business, innovation and more, as well as an insider’s look into San Antonio’s growing local food movement.
Since its debut in May 2011, this highly-curated market continues to capture the attention of local, regional and national media. Whether it’s a market member or the market itself that is being lauded, the delicious stories about this growing collection of local farmers, ranchers and craft food producers are plentiful.
If you are looking for inspiration in the kitchen once you return home with your market finds, scroll through the collection of recipes featured on this site. Categorized by seasons and spanning a variety of ingredients, let your palate guide you to try new and exciting dishes for every day of the year.
Just as the market features the best local artisan food producers in South Texas, you will also find the best local musicians performing every week. From Jazz to Blues, Contemporary to Classical, Spanish guitar to acoustic sets, the musicians add rhythm to the family-friendly outdoor environment.

Parking is available at The Yard, as well as along Clarence and Joy streets. The businesses on McCullough that are closed on Sundays have offered their parking lots, so look for farmers market parking signs.
The City of Olmos Park welcomes parking along alternating sides of Mandalay, E. Mariposa and E. Wildwood, the streets that feed into the market. A sign will indicate which side of the street is closed for parking each week, so you can safely park along the other side.
